Become an expert on the anatomy of the Maryland Blue Crab with this hands-on dissection lab!
These fascinating crustaceans are one of the Bay's most recognizable organisms. Dr. Kathy Baker-Brosch joins us from the Anita C. Leight Estuary Center, where she is a research naturalist and scientific educator.
Under Kathy's guidance, we will be examining the basic organ structures of the crab, and studying the remarkable characteristics which enable these creatures to survive in the brackish waters of the Chesapeake.
There is a $5 per person fee for this program. All proceeds from our educational programming benefit the Environmental Center.
