Join us for a lecture and discussion of our new exhibit about early 20th century watermen of the Upper Bay and Lower Susquehanna River. Our museum President, Bruce Russell, will explain the research behind the exhibit. Hundreds of local names such as Seneca, Vandiver, Tydings, Christy (Christies), and more are represented in the historic records. The Crawford family bought game fish and waterfowl from local watermen and sold them to customers from Washington, D.C. to Baltimore, Delaware, Philadelphia, Central Pennsylvania and New York City.
