An outdoor education class for grades 2-4!
Students learn the conditions needed for plants to grow, and how plants are dependent upon pollinators to reproduce. They visit several types of pollinator habitats, look for diversity and abundance of pollinators, and learn to identify which pollinators pollinate which plants here in Havre de Grace. Students learn how seeds are dispersed by insects, animals, natural/human forces.
This class is FREE and available to students grades 2-4.

This two-day course satisfies the requirements for operating a vessel on Maryland waters. A Certificate of Boating Safety Education is issued by the Department of Natural Resources upon satisfactory completion. Instructors from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will be teaching two interactive online sessions followed by an online test taken at your convenience. Attendance at both online sessions is required to pass.

A Birding Class for grades K-2!
Students investigate what makes birds different from other animals, and why they are so special. Students learn how to use both their sight and hearing to identify common birds of the Chesapeake Bay, and how to use tools like binoculars and identification guides to do so. Students will leave this course as competent and curious birders.
This class is FREE and available to students in grades K-2.
