Kid's Story Time

The book for the July 19 session was “Ellie and the Swan”

by Janie Meneely. Ms. Sue walked the group to the promenade so she could

show them where the tundra swans come to the bay during the winter. The

craft was a swan cut from recycled gift boxes and the kids traced their hand

to create the swan’s “wings.” The snack was a marshmallow peep

(pretending it was swan) sitting on a nest of chow mein noodles (swans

make their nests from twigs, moss, and grass).
