Spooky Spider Science Class

  • Havre de Grace Maritime Museum 100 Lafayette Street Havre de Grace, MD, 21078 United States (map)

Do spiders give you the willies? The Environmental Center at Havre de Grace Maritime Museum presents this fun and informative class to teach kids the wonder of these 8-legged critters among us. Kids will learn about the benefits of spiders, search for their webs, and solve the mystery of which spider made different web types. Each child will make a fun spider themed craft. Kids will gain a better understanding of the key role these beautiful creatures play in our environment.

This learning experience will be best received by 5 - 10 year old children. Parents must accompany children. Though most of the class is planned for outdoors, it will be held rain or shine by moving into the Environmental Center. No adults will be admitted to the class without children.

Pre-registration is required - classes fill up quickly. The cost is $5 per child. Admission to the Maritime Museum is FREE with the purchase of the class. Adults accompanying children are free.
