A Plastic Ocean Film Screening

On August 16, the Havre de Grace Green Team and the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum co-sponsored a free film screening of “A Plastic Ocean.” The screening was enlightening and engaged lots of good discussion. The film was very well received with an audience of almost 50 people.

In “A Plastic Ocean”, journalist Craig Leeson, searching for the elusive blue whale, discovers plastic waste in what should be pristine ocean. Along with an international team of scientists and researchers, he travels to 20 locations around the world to explore the fragile state of our oceans.
