Pirate Fest Family Day

The Lockhouse Museum’s Pirate day Fest was a huge success despite inclement weather! The Maritime Museum & Environmental Center had a booth where they promoted reusing common household materials as crafts. Titles “Build a Boat Workshop”, the kids created small pirate ships out of corks, rubber bands, tooth picks, and paper! Well over 300 ships were made. We even had a small water tub where kids could set sail. The Environmental Center was thrilled to have the opportunity for outreach and education.
